The Technical Circuit: 2026 Itinerary Breakdown

We start in Manali (2,050m). Day 1 isn't for sightseeing; it’s for bike briefings and a crucial test ride to Solang Valley. If you can’t handle the bike here, you won’t handle the loose scree of the Kunzum.

The Transition: Atal Tunnel to Chandratal On Day 2, we leave the green behind. Passing through the Atal Tunnel, we hit the rugged river crossings of Chhatru and Batal. We push toward the turquoise Chandratal Lake for high-altitude camping—a vital step for acclimatization before the bigger climbs.

The Heart of Spiti: Kunzum La and Kaza Day 3 brings the Kunzum Pass (4,551m). This is the highest point of the ride. From here, it’s a descent into Kaza. Over the next two days, we hit the technical "World’s Highest" markers: Kibber village, the Hikkim Post Office, and the cliff-side Key Monastery.

The Return: The Hindustan-Tibet Road The final leg takes us through the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery and the "Mummy Village" of Gue. We ride the winding NH-5 through the apple orchards of Kalpa and Narkanda, finishing the loop with a massive descent back toward Shimla or Manali.
